The Only Moment We Were Alone Together
Ten of the greatest minutes of the three years I've spent in Austin so far were spent watching the city's own Explosions in the Sky pour everything they had to offer into recreating this wonderful piece of music live at Emos. I'll try to get some philosophy up here soon, but for now, just enjoy:

I'm jealous. It'd be nice to have them local. I found out about Explosions in the Sky when I saw them in concert in Kyoto. They opened for Mono, another band that does instrumental only music, and they were excellent. Their performance sold me. The video is quite nice too.
I saw Mono at Emos shortly after seeing Explosions. I didn't find them quite so interesting live, but it was still a really good show.
