Truth or Consequences
I googled 'Truth or Consequences', looking for a Festschrift in honour of Nuel Belnap, and instead discovered the City of Truth or Consequences. What the hell?
There's a section of the website where they tell you how the city got its name. Still makes no damn sense though.
